Personal Statement

Wali first became interested in neurology after learning about the role electrical synapses play within the human body and their artful marriage with science. Upon this realization, Wali immersed himself in neurologic studies and during medical school, he participated in a research project that showed the possibilities of brain plasticity – an area of research Wali hopes to continue studying throughout residency.

Wali’s interests include exploring the city, hiking, cooking, playing the piano, and listening to live music.
