Personal Statement

Dr. Gadient grew up in Henderson, KY, where he won three consecutive school spelling bees from 1994—1996.  He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Evansville, Indiana, where he was a member for the NCAA Division I men's golf team.  Dr. Gadient continued his education in Louisville in spinal cord injury research at the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Institute.  Later, he would graduate from the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine, where he chaired the Student Interest Group in Neurology and worked closely with renowned pediatric neurologist, Dr. Vinay Puri.  Dr. Gadient is a published first author in the Journal of Child Neurology, and his work has been presented in conferences in the US and Australia.
